SummerPrep

Community Preparatory School's SummerPrep program is designed to provide students entering grades 2 - 6 with a hands-on and minds-on summer enrichment experience.  Children will make new friends, and have a great time in a project-based and nurturing learning environment that integrates structured activities and workshops in performance and creative arts, traditional academic subjects (e.g., math, reading, writing, and science), movement, outdoor play and games.  Our time together culminates in an exhibition day where children showcase their final projects and a final field day as a community.

SummerPrep runs Monday - Friday, for three weeks in July from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m and is FREE for all students.

Each SummerPrep teaching team includes one master teacher from area school and at least two Brown University Masters of Arts in Teaching candidates. Teaching teams develop fun and engaging learning opportunities with guidance from Community Preparatory School and Brown University Education Department staff.
