On Thursday, November 17, Community Preparatory School staff and students participated in a school-wide walk-a-thon benefitting The Tomorrow Fund in memory of Anaija Griffin '20. The Tomorrow Fund is a Providence-based nonprofit organization providing financial and emotional support to families whose children are battling cancer at Hasbro Children's Hospital. The Tomorrow Fund was a critical support system for the Griffin family throughout Anaija's battle with cancer.

Students and staff collected donations by encouraging friends and family to support their walk. At least one group of students could be seen walking laps around the building at any given time throughout the school day.

Anaija's parents, Dorian and Quincy, joined to walk with their dog Paris, as well as Lisa Abbenante, executive director of The Tomorrow Fund. Alumni also participated in memory of their late classmate.

Community Prep raised nearly $3,000 for The Tomorrow Fund in honor of Anaija.
